Hi!

I wonder if this place is ever likely to catch up..however it is most like the format i like still, so why not?

I am seeing this as a good CHALLENGE to be more CONSTRUCTIVE about this application (on Friendica) and this means i will try to FEDERATE mOre, if that makes uSeful SENSE

BY THE WAY does anybody know about the Home/Community set, does it mean we are at HOME with the followed ONLY?

I hadn't realized the situation on Google was that bad. I mostly use DuckDuckGo, but then I also only search for technical stuff most of the time. This is outrageous. theguardian.com/commentisfr...

Google is not ‘just’ a platform. It frames, shapes and distorts how we see the world

Yeah, none of these companies want to admit how much cultural influence they have because it would invite more regulation, but they're an undeniable force these days.

woooooh that's diiiiirty ! well i think using the tor browser is just as easy as firefox; but the good thing is to know how to setup relays and hidden services && backups and shit.

Is attachment the only way to share, how does one share a picture here?

!fediverse i'd like to thank Eric S Raymond for writing #fetchmail . I like the "unix" mentality of doing a small program to do a small job. then you can easily use it to extend a program && you can use bash programming to create useful stuff. oh yeah btw #rmail sucks balls. I find it shameful to not be able to copy/paste simple configs from the OFFICIAL emacs documentation... in some case they tell you variables... yet not the function you have to call ... or yeah just set up TLS bro... BUT WHICH FUCKING VARIABLE IS IT? #gnu #fs #ilovefs #emacs

Cool Trick Idea

Well, it depends on what the code is for. If you have to create a password for your workstation, the idea I outlined above works. If someone gave you a code, say for a game or some app or confirmation number, you have to find a way to memorize it. I'd recommend picking up a book on memory. The most common technique is to imagine rooms or locations in your mind with the information stored in each room. It's all based off the Memory of Loci technique started up by the Greeks. See here:

Being online but not really used to this space here, it's not like the common places, where all sorts of people like to freely go, it is more UPMARKET as it were, for the strictly ELITE FOLKS more so.

But the feeling is that i can even make it suitable for whomsoever might want to help along the way towards the greater good...IE for the common good or just the selfish GOOD.

when it is new, it is not so freeflowing as it should be, that comes by experience and that means there will be growth spurts there too.

Great Place

Just to mention it still is great to try the Friendica style network, i just gotta do it more often too <3

OH

Astronaut and senator John Glenn has died at 95 year old, Ohio State University announced Thursday.

John Glenn, America's New Frontiersman, Dead at 95

Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth and later served four terms in the U.S. Senate.

As a Marine fighter pilot, while flying 149 combat missions during World War II and the Korean War, he received praise for his ability to draw enemy fire and keep the plane flying with huge holes blown into its exterior.

Most Americans remember Glenn for taking to space in 1962. Dubbed Friendship 7, Glenn's space capsule circled the Earth and put the United States on equal footing with the Soviet Union in the space race.

He's had a fantastic life, though. He's left a great legacy.

Linked ideas

I got this set-up where one post translates to another one elsewhere, and that's quite an achievement to know of.

I THINK IT WAS ON HERE already, not another LINKUP.

I never miss anything at work; not even once, and it's only because of org-mode!

did i actually post this on here or in Image/photoan alternate reality?

Vinda Loo 4 months ago
by the way this picture is just a fantasy version of such a concept already so...

retrieved accounting

i am glad for the networks that reminds me to not lose account/s set up in my name, they make me rediscover them again too <3

CODES AND PUZZLES

You mean like passwords, IDs and product codes? There's a mental trick to it. Break it down into a regular pattern of small combinations. Like "UuM7593" can be thought of as a rhythm of "u-u", "m75" and "93".

How do those who work with codes and infinite letters/numbers survive the ordeal, is there a method of avoiding the downside of it all?

Vinda Loo 4 months ago
Is there any other tricks out there?
